People have understood that humans are genetically equipped to deal with the frustration that is and will ever by part of any human life. It is impossible to avoid frustration and bad mood. Brain chemistry creates these emotions by itself (during puberty, before menstruation) or by biochemically reacting to exterior triggers (from aggressive humans to bad weather).
Instead of trying to shield the young ones from frustration and thereby creating spoiled, pampered, entitled brats like the old aristocrats or riches did with their offspring, modern pedagogics suggest that kids need negative experiences to develop the coping strategies that let them grow into a balances, mostly happy adult.
However, why leave it to "bad" luck and coincidence? Robots can help to provide the set of frustrations that humans had to cope with since the African savannah.
Why not design a software, that injects just the right dosages of frustration into a kid's life over the years and also guides the interaction between the frustration providing robot(s) and the suffering kid so that it learns its coping strategies as fast and with as little pain as possible?
"Frustration Provider", Bo Lessing, 2272
1 "Frustration"
2 "Provider"
3 "A complex educational software for kids from 1 - 21 years." Many creators of software offer individual sets of experiences for kids, that help them to become their best self and fully use their potential. This one focuses on teaching kids by experience that even in Utopia one will encounter frustration and needs to be able to handle it.
4 "No risk of permanent trauma, no 'overdose'." Which is a not so subtle hint to the severe damage human inflicted frustration can do.
5 "By far the best way to achieve frustration tolerance and learn coping skills." And exactly that is required if a child want to turn into a emotionally balanced adult.
6 "Rejection"
7 "Fail"
8 "Loss"
9 The chalk style drawing of an unhappy face stands for "young" and "unpleasant" but - chalk - transient.
10 "How do you want your child to experience the set of frustrations required to lean how to cope with the unpleasant part of reality?"
11 "80% of today's parents prefer customized and perfectly dosed frustrations provided by robots - yours or freelance outsiders." If a robots which is not under the control of the parents helps in providing the frustration to the kid the owner of that robot get a little money for the service.
12 "Within the shortest possible time and with no risk of permanent trauma we provide the fullscope of frustrations to meet all criteria for your kid to pass the 'emotional maturity exam' at first attempt." - Some nations keep score of the personality growth progress of kids and automatically certify emotional maturity if the criteria are met. Others have kids pass an exam.
13 Here Lessing depicts the typical teenager, moody and unhappy during the rewiring years of puberty.

Lessing likes to play with graffiti concepts. What would be a more typical way to blow off puberty frustration steam than to spray it to walls?

In this version the chalk face stands for puberty alone - no girl on the canvas.

The execution of the girl's image perfectly resonates the awkward imperfection of humans that age. More a sketch of themselves, but already one can imagine adulthood. Particularly interesting: the hands.

This version concentrates on the aspect of "loss". Lessing paints "loss" as a brightly coloured 3d entity with cheerful reflections. You only hurt from loss if what you have loved what is lost now.

On the left side bottom frustration is shown as a gradual process. The yellow rectangle seems to lose shape, tip and drown.

This version's blue background adds a new aspect to the frustration theme.
